All state boards of Dentistry require Dentists, Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants to complete various hours of continuing education annually in accordance with their state's dental rules and regulations for licensing. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.
The current term of approval extends from November 2015 to December 2019.
Courses presented are acceptable by those states that recognize the ADA (CERP) and AGD approved providers.
Upon completion of the course each participant will receive a certificate of completion, which includes the name, date of the course, and the credit earned.
Continuing education courses that are presented cover all aspects of the practice of Dentistry including new knowledge that may not be widely accepted by the profession. In so doing, some presentations may include controversial material or commercial reference.
